Spring brings a fresh start, and we’re excited to continue growing together as an ensemble. This season is a chance for each of us to elevate our musicianship and contribute to a stronger, more connected group. Your dedication, preparation, and support for one another truly shape the spirit of TCYOLI. With everyone's teamwork and commitment, we can make this season truly exceptional for Merkin Hall Concert on June 21st (save the date)! Uncle Richard will host a parents meeting on March 21st at 4:35pm to discuss the concert program details and duties.
We're so thrilled to move ahead on the Merkin Hall concert project. The first thing we need from all members is the "Artist Bio" for the Playbill. Please submit an Artist Bio (Word Document, no more than 100 words) + headshot (high resolution jpeg) to tcyoli@yahoo.com no later than Saturday, 3/28/2026. Here is an example for your reference (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V5OmgxxjI9XnBNzxH7N6XweNoj5BEQDn/view?usp=sharing).
Most of you already have a self-portrait from Picture Day on 9/13/2025 (https://photos.app.goo.gl/4APtwPYpGic7DDSq9). If you do not have a photo already, or if you prefer to use a different one, please upload a headshot wearing the TCYOLI blue polo uniform into the same album by 3/28/2026.

3/14 Saturday's rehearsals
Blue Members: Please review Conductors Scott's rehearsal plans. Have Sibelius Andante Festivo and other new pieces Bartok Romanian Folk Dances and Barber Adagio prepared for rehearsal.
Sinfonietta: We will continue rehearsing Haydn Symphony No. 1 and Mozart Symphony No. 29 (NO printing needed), and Beethoven Symphony No. 1, Dvorak Symphony No. 9 – Finale, and Stravinsky Firebird from last week. Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto was the newest piece; Flutes - please prepare all Flute 1 parts, and Clarinets bring BOTH Clarinet 1 & 2 parts to cover each other. All players should focus and start on the last movement (letter H) during rehearsal as this piece is challenging. Practice is going to be essential as the soloist plays at a high level. Missing parts can add rehearsal time!
Chamber Orchestra: Please prepare Calm of Green Mountain (Tzu Chi Song Folder), Longing for Spring Breeze, Paganini Variations, and Jasmine Flower (Chamber Folder). Keep Schubert and Bizet for future rehearsals.
White members: Please bring your new music (Flowers and Youth) to practice. Conductor Adam will be uploading music later in the week.
WW members: Conductor Debbie uploaded pieces to prepare: Three Musketeers, London Trio, and Flute choir music including Jurassic Park.
